Set your navigation destination to Guui Gate Parking Lot and enter after 09:00. On spring Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the lot is more likely to be full from 10:30–16:30. Allow plenty of time for a wait or choose public transit.
Reality check
According to the official information, the main gate lot tends to fill first on weekends and during peak season, so the rear gate or Guui Gate is suggested as an alternative.
The parking lot is open 09:00–22:00. For spring Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:30–16:30, an average wait of 1 hour 30 minutes is listed when the lot is full.
Every 5 minutes: passenger cars 150 won, mid-sized vehicles 300 won, large vehicles 450 won. For passenger cars: 1 hour 1,800 won, 3 hours 5,400 won, 5 hours 9,000 won.
Watch for pedestrians and entering vehicles in front of the entrance barrier, and follow on-site directions so a queue for a full lot does not block traffic. Hourly parking is first-come, first-served with no advance reservation, so a space is not guaranteed.
If plans change
Check whether nearby public parking lots or university parking lots are open to visitors that day. If you can’t confirm, take public transit from Children’s Grand Park Station or Achasan Station.
Compare the main gate, Seoul Sangsang Nara underground, and rear gate parking lots with the location of the attraction you’re visiting. Keep in mind the official notice that the main gate lot may fill first on weekends.
Small tip
Guui Gate is convenient if you’re visiting the East Gate, Sea Animal Pavilion, or the eastern part of the zoo first. If you’re headed to a facility near the main gate, also account for the walk through the park.
