At a glance
- La Rinascente’s Tritone store is a good first stop. It’s close to central sightseeing routes and makes it easy to compare items and sizes from several brands in one place.
- If you’re looking for a specific brand such as C.P. Company or Stone Island, check the official store locator and same-day stock before visiting. Department-store brands and seasonal stock vary.
- Castel Romano isn’t an extension of a city-center walk. Set aside a separate block of time only if you want to check stock at outlets, including the Stone Island outlet.
위치 한눈에 보기
Rome’s shopping areas fall into three zones: the center, Prati, and the southern outlets
Four places in central Rome can be linked on foot, but Castel Romano is on the southern outskirts. This is a conceptual map focused on how to fit the areas into your route, not on map scale.
Day by day
Suggested itinerary
See each day's route, highlights, background and stay together in one place.
Check the brands and sizes you want at La Rinascente Tritone → walk south along Via del Corso → add Via Condotti if you’re shopping for luxury goods
Schedule it separately from your Vatican visit and walk along Via Cola di Rienzo → compare mid- to high-priced clothing and accessories at Coin Excelsior → add Piazza Fiume only if it’s convenient for where you’re staying
Travel to Castel Romano by its official shuttle or by car → check stock at the Stone Island outlet → check out and handle tax refund paperwork before the return shuttle
Places and meals
Located at 61 Via del Tritone. It’s a good starting point for a day when you want to compare different price ranges and sizes in one department store.
Google MapsLa Rinascente near Piazza Fiume. Rather than visiting both Tritone and Fiume on the same day, choose Fiume when your hotel or other plans are in the northeast to keep the route short.
Google MapsLocated at 173 Via Cola di Rienzo. Close to the Vatican area, it’s a good place to browse mid- to high-priced clothing and accessories on a day spent walking around Prati.
Google MapsAn official outlet in Castel Romano. Past-season stock and sizes vary by day, so make the trip only if you have a specific item in mind.
Google MapsHow to fit it in
If you’re looking for C.P. Company, Stone Island, or similar brands, check the fit and full retail price at Tritone on your first day, then walk along Corso. Save the outlet for another day only if the item you want isn’t available in the city or you also want to browse past-season pieces. Brands and stock vary by store, so if you’re looking for a specific model, first call or check the official store locator.
Reality check
Via del Tritone, Via del Corso, and Via Condotti are connected on foot. For Piazza Fiume and Prati, it’s better to take the metro, bus, or a taxi for part of the trip. Castel Romano is about 25 km from the city center. Official information lists shuttle departures from Termini and EUR Fermi. Shuttle booking methods and seat availability can change, so check again before you leave.
Allow 3–4 hours for shopping in the city center, or half a day if you’re adding Prati. Castel Romano takes at least half a day, including travel and waiting for the return. The shuttle has a fixed return time, so leave the final hour for payment and tax refund paperwork.
Outlet discounts and prices for specific item codes aren’t fixed. Non-EU residents may be eligible for an Italian tax refund if the purchase total on a single invoice from one seller exceeds €70 (minimum €70.01). The actual refund is less than the VAT rate because of fees.
Keep your wallet and passport in front of you when carrying shopping bags around Termini or on crowded trains. Customs may need to inspect items for which you’re claiming a tax refund when you leave the EU, so keep your receipts, passport details, and purchases together until departure.
If plans change
Instead of buying something else at Castel Romano, return to official stores or department stores in the city to compare full prices and seasonal sales. It may be better to check when your preferred model will be restocked.
Visit Tritone only, then walk to the start of Via del Corso. Adding Piazza Fiume, Prati, and the outlet to the same afternoon means spending more time in transit.
Before paying, ask whether the seller issues tax refund paperwork and whether you need to show your passport. Don’t set your budget based only on the estimated refund.
Small tip
Even for Italian brands, retail prices, exchange rates, sale periods, and stock vary across European countries. Don’t assume Italy always has the lowest full retail price. Compare the local price of the specific item you want with the price in Korea, including any tax refund fees.
Final check before departure
- Write down the brand, item code, and size you want, then use the official store locator to check Rome locations and opening hours.
- If you’re going to the outlet, check the same-day shuttle schedule and return time from Termini or EUR Fermi first.
- If you live outside the EU, bring your passport and ask the seller before paying whether they issue tax refund paperwork.
- Before checking your bags, find out whether customs inspection is required at the last airport where you leave the EU.
Store brands, opening hours, outlet stock, and shuttle times change often. Check the official pages for La Rinascente, Coin, Stone Island, and Castel Romano again before your visit. To qualify for a tax refund, you must meet all conditions, including non-EU residency, a single invoice exceeding €70 (at least €70.01), and taking the goods out in your personal luggage.
