At a glance
- Start at Times Square, near Causeway Bay MTR station, and decide which brands or floors you want to visit. Rather than browsing every floor, check out two or three stores you need, then plan your next stop. If you have a restaurant reservation, set a time to finish shopping before your reservation, and keep the payment and refund terms for each item you buy.
- Allow about 20–30 minutes to walk from Times Square to Victoria Park, including a stroll along Hennessy Road and Yee Wo Street. At busy intersections, follow the crossing signals and signs for pedestrian underpasses or crosswalks. If you’re using a stroller or wheelchair, check the MTR accessibility map and choose an exit with an elevator.
- Treat the park as a place for a short, free break, but note that access to event venues and sports facilities varies. During events, entrances, queues, and areas open to the public may change. Don’t assume the entire park is open for a casual stroll; follow on-site directions, and if it’s crowded, avoid being pushed into the surrounding roads.
- Choose your final leg based on where you are in the park. Take a westbound tram toward Wan Chai, or head to a nearby MTR station if you’re staying in Kowloon. Trams move slowly, so they may not get you there on time if you have a tight dinner reservation. If you’re tired, skip the 30-minute park walk and take a break indoors first.
Day by day
Suggested itinerary
See each day's route, highlights, background and stay together in one place.
Times Square → Causeway Bay streets → Victoria Park → tram
How to fit it in
Plan it as an afternoon shopping trip with a stroll before or after dinner.
Reality check
Choose a Causeway Bay MTR exit based on whether you’re heading to Times Square or Victoria Park, then connect to Wan Chai by tram.
Allow 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours for 90 minutes of shopping, 20–30 minutes between stops, and 30–45 minutes in the park. Set aside another 60–90 minutes for a meal reservation and any wait. These are planning estimates that account for walking and crowds; if none of the stores interest you, the outing can be much shorter.
Keep a park walk and browsing the mall separate from paid sports or event activities. Budget separately for purchases, transport, and meals. When paying by card in a foreign currency, check the final currency and amount. If an event requires advance booking, read the official event page for fees and entry conditions.
Watch out for busy intersections, event crowds, and heat. Avoid dark areas of the park at night.
If plans change
Save the park for dusk and start with the mall or a café.
Skip Victoria Park and take the tram toward Wan Chai.
Small tip
If you don’t have a shopping list, keep your visit short and head to a restaurant in Wan Chai or continue on to Happy Valley.
