At a glance
- Consider Disneyland if you’re interested in parades around the castle and familiar characters. With children, check options such as “it’s a small world” and Pooh’s Hunny Hunt; if adults prefer rides, consider real options such as Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and Splash Mountain. Check ride closures and height requirements. Not every attraction is suitable for children.
- At DisneySea, you can enjoy the harbor scenery and the areas between attractions as you choose experiences such as Soaring: Fantastic Flight and Toy Story Mania! For young children, consider the indoor Mermaid Lagoon. If Frozen is a priority, consider Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, but check availability and wait conditions for your visit date in the official app.
- For each park, list two must-do experiences and one show or meal for your group. If a priority attraction is closed, compare it with actual options at the other park and make your choice before buying tickets. This plan is for one park per day and does not include a ticket that lets you move between both parks after entry.
Day by day
Suggested itinerary
See each day's route, highlights, background and stay together in one place.
For the same date, compare entry availability, operating hours, and temporary attraction closures at both parks on the operating calendar. Decide whether your group’s priority is parades and characters or harbor scenery and attractions.
Visit just one park. Group must-do experiences near one another in the morning, then plan nearby areas around a show or meal in the afternoon. Don’t plan to visit the other park.
If the rain gets heavy or your group gets tired, keep only indoor attractions and any meal you’ve already planned. Choose when to leave with the crowds at Maihama Station and transfers to your accommodation in mind.

Google MapsHow to fit it in
Arrive in time to queue before opening, then focus on two or three must-do experiences in the morning. In the afternoon, schedule time to sit and rest between a show and a meal so you can enjoy the day through the end. If you plan to watch a parade, choose your dining area around the show’s start and end times. Save attractions on the other side of the park for another visit.
Reality check
Start at the South Exit of Maihama Station on the JR Keiyo or Musashino Line. Plan for a 5–10-minute walk from the station to the Disneyland entrance. For DisneySea, take the Resort Line from nearby Resort Gateway Station to Tokyo DisneySea Station, then walk to the entrance; allow 20–30 minutes including the boarding wait. Walking to DisneySea takes about 20 minutes or more, so compare it with the train if you’re with children or visiting in hot weather. Add security screening and park entry queues at either park to these travel times.
It’s best to spend the whole day at one park. Allow around 10 hours, including entry queues, meals, and breaks, and don’t schedule anything afterward. Even if you plan to stay from opening to closing, first set aside at least 30 minutes to rest in indoor seating around 3 p.m.
The official 1-Day Passport checked on 2026-10-03 started at ¥8,900 for adults and was date-specific. The official October 2026 calendar also showed dates priced at ¥10,900, ¥11,900, and ¥12,400, so don’t use an old price list as a maximum. Select your visit date, age, and park to check the final price. Add round-trip travel to Maihama, the Resort Line, two meals, paid priority access, and souvenirs separately. The ticket price does not include paid priority access or meals.
You’ll be outdoors for long stretches, so bring water, rain gear, and seasonal items for warmth or sun protection. If you’re getting tired, skip a queue and sit down to rest. If you’re with children, check height requirements in the app ahead of time and identify a meeting place together as soon as you enter in case you get separated in the crowds.
If plans change
If your preferred park is sold out or a key attraction is closed that day, choose another date or focus on one park.
If the rain gets heavy or your group gets tired, keep only indoor attractions and a reserved meal, then head back early.
Small tip
Check for sold-out dates, attraction closures, and weather in the official app, then choose a park and buy a dated ticket. Operating hours and attraction closures can still change after you buy, so check again the night before and on the morning of your visit.

- Before You Go: Check Official Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea Operating and Booking Conditions
Official tickets and calendars were checked on 2026-10-03. Compare date-specific admission prices and attraction closures for both parks on the same date. Don’t assume the lowest adult price shown is the price for your visit date. Recheck operating hours, shows, and weather changes the night before and on the morning of your visit.
