At a glance
- Day 1: After arrival, add the Star Ferry and Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade; add the Peak night view if possible.
- Day 2: Central and Sheung Wan lanes in the morning, Tai Kwun and M+ in the afternoon, then Temple Street in the evening.
- Day 3: If flight time allows, choose only Ngong Ping 360 and the Tian Tan Buddha or a short Sham Shui Po walk.
Day by day

Central → Tai Kwun → Sheung Wan → Temple Street
M+ or West Kowloon → airport
How to fit it in
If the weather is poor on the first night, move the Peak to Day 2 and finish Day 1 with a harbour walk and a short meal.
Reality check
Split the trip into the harbour on arrival day, Hong Kong Island on the second day, and the area near the hotel on the final day.
Calculate usable time after arrival and departure procedures first, and do not plan more than 8 hours a day.
After checking the weather, pay for only one paid experience such as the Peak or Ngong Ping.
Avoid Lantau or island transfers and a late last-train return on the final day.
If plans change
Skip the Peak on Day 1 and keep only the harbour and a meal.
Cancel the outlying plan and see only cafés or markets near the hotel.
Small tip
In 2 nights and 3 days, it is difficult to fit Macau, Disneyland, and Sai Kung. Choose only one outlying trip at a time.
Final check before departure
- Calculate actual sightseeing time from the flight schedule
- Decide which paid activity to remove for the weather
- Save 2 airport-return options
Check flights, airport transport, and Peak or Ngong Ping operations for your dates.
