At a glance

  • The 2026 adult coupon prices are CHF 195 for 1 day, CHF 220 for 2 days, and CHF 245 for 3 days. The 3-day pass costs CHF 50 more than the 1-day pass, so it is worthwhile if you actually use it for Männlichen and First as well as Jungfraujoch.
  • The VIP 1-day pass also includes the Grindelwald–First gondola. So the claim that you pay an extra transport fare for First if you visit on the same day does not apply to the VIP 1-day pass. However, fitting Jungfraujoch and First into one day leaves little time at the summit or for the descent.
  • If you buy a standalone round-trip ticket to Jungfraujoch, First is a separate product. It costs extra whether you visit First the same day or the next, so choose separate days for weather and energy management, not for a discount.
  • The First gondola and viewpoint facilities are separate from activities such as First Flyer, First Glider, and Mountain Cart. Check whether activities require a separate fare or qualify for a pass discount.
  • The official round-trip time for the Bachalpsee hike, starting and ending at the First mountain station, is about 1 hour 50 minutes. The walk to the lake takes less than an hour each way, but photos and breaks can easily turn it into a half-day outing.
  • If you skip the lake, allow about 20 minutes for the Cliff Walk, plus time for the viewpoint, a meal, and one activity. Flyer and Glider do not have fixed-time reservations, and waits can be long, so allow at least 3–5 hours including the gondola ride up and down.
  • If you are coming from Zurich with a Eurail Pass, activate a travel day for your train from Zürich HB to Interlaken Ost. The Korean General Agent lists the 2026 round-trip coupon price for 6 sections as CHF 168, or CHF 155 with the additional discount for a valid Swiss or Eurail pass.
  • Dongshin Travel discount coupons can be redeemed at staffed Jungfrau Railways ticket offices, including Interlaken Ost, Grindelwald, Grindelwald Terminal, and Lauterbrunnen; they cannot be used at Interlaken West. Bring one coupon per person.

Choosing between the 1-day and 3-day pass

Start by distinguishing the ticket names

A standalone round-trip ticket to Jungfraujoch, the Korean General Agent’s VIP Pass, and the Jungfrau Travel Pass cover different routes. Check the checkout screen in this order.

  1. Just Jungfraujoch for one dayCompare a standalone round-trip ticket with the VIP 1-day pass

Work out whether you will take only the round trip to the summit or also use other mountain routes that day. A standalone round-trip ticket does not include First.

  2. Jungfraujoch · Männlichen · FirstThe VIP 3-day pass is a good fit

Assign one area to each of three days to use the routes included in the 3-day pass and save the clearest day for Jungfraujoch.

  3. Buying the Jungfrau Travel PassCheck the separate summit connecting ticket

The official international product is available for 3–8 days and includes First, but requires an additional connecting ticket for Jungfraujoch.

  4. Eurail + Dongshin Travel round-trip coupon2026 price with additional discount: CHF 155

Use a Eurail travel day for the train from Zurich to Interlaken. For the Jungfraujoch mountain section, present the Korean General Agent’s coupon and your valid pass at a staffed ticket office to buy a separate ticket.

  5. Where to collect your ticketLauterbrunnen is also an option

Available at Interlaken Ost, Grindelwald, Grindelwald Terminal, Lauterbrunnen, and other locations; Interlaken West is excluded. Use a staffed ticket office that accepts discount coupons, not a ticket machine.

Day by day

Suggested itinerary

See each day's route, highlights, background and stay together in one place.

Day 1 · Jungfraujoch on the clearest day

Check the dates that require a seat reservation and the change and cancellation terms the day before, and secure your Jungfraujoch boarding time. In the morning, check the official webcams and service status. If changing the date, first check seat availability for the new date and the terms for changing the existing reservation, then go up via Eigergletscher. See the observation deck, Ice Palace, and Sphinx, then rest in Kleine Scheidegg or Grindelwald in the afternoon instead of trying to squeeze in First.

대중교통

Connect the Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal to the Jungfrau Railway at Eigergletscher. The official seat reservation guarantees priority boarding, not a numbered seat. Which side has the window view depends on the direction of travel and crowding, so do not describe a right-side seat from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen as a guaranteed scenic seat. Google Maps 길찾기

Day 2 · Männlichen and Wengen

Take the gondola from Grindelwald Terminal up to Männlichen and do the Royal Walk or a short scenic walk. If trail conditions are good and you’re used to hiking, walk the Panorama Trail toward Kleine Scheidegg and check the train to Wengen there. If you don’t walk, take the Männlichen–Wengen cableway down. To return from Wengen to your accommodation, check the train connections in the direction of Wengen → Lauterbrunnen → Zweilütschinen → Grindelwald, including the last train. The cableway down to Wengen and the gondola back to Grindelwald Terminal go down in different directions.

대중교통

Check same-day service for the Männlichen gondola, the Wengen–Männlichen cableway, and the return train from Wengen to Grindelwald. If the trail is closed, enjoy the view from the upper station and take the gondola you came up on back down. Google Maps 길찾기

Day 3 · First

Take an early First gondola, visit the Cliff Walk, and, if your energy and trail conditions allow, add the 1 hour 50 minute round trip to Bachalpsee. If you skip the lake, have a meal with a view and choose one or two activities from Flyer, Glider, Mountain Cart, and Trottibike.

대중교통

Ride the gondola up and down from Grindelwald Firstbahn. Activity tickets are limited, and waits for Flyer and Glider can be long. Cut activities short if strong winds or the time remaining before the last descent make it necessary. Google Maps 길찾기

How to fit it in

Save the clearest day for Jungfraujoch. On a day with somewhat hazier views, switch to Männlichen or First. Männlichen is not normally a free attraction; the VIP Pass lets you use this route without an additional fare during the pass’s validity period and the cable cars’ operating season.

Reality check

Transport

The VIP Pass lets you use regional trains and mountain transport on its specified consecutive travel days. Use the Jungfraujoch round trip only once, and schedule Männlichen and First on separate days within their operating periods. Follow the ticket office’s instructions for operating hours and what you need to show at the gates, such as a passport, coupon, or mobile ticket.

Time

Allow 7–9 hours from leaving your accommodation to returning from Jungfraujoch, and 4–7 hours for Männlichen depending on how much you walk. First takes 5–7 hours if you hike to Bachalpsee; 3–5 hours is realistic for the Cliff Walk and activities without the lake. If you combine Jungfraujoch and First in one day, travel and queues can quickly eat into the afternoon.

Cost

The 2026 adult coupon price from the Korean General Agent for the VIP 3-day pass is CHF 245. Check discount eligibility, ticket fees, and the exchange rate. Budget separately for First activities, meals, accommodation, and travel insurance. Männlichen is an included route on the pass, not a facility that is free at all times.

Safety

Jungfraujoch is at high altitude. If you develop a headache or shortness of breath, descend to a lower elevation right away. Avoid the Männlichen and Bachalpsee trails during snow, rain, lightning, or strong winds. Wear shoes with good grip and bring a waterproof outer layer.

If plans change

If the summit is clouded over

Move Jungfraujoch to the next day and visit a lower area first, such as Männlichen or the Lauterbrunnen Valley. If all three days are cloudy, reconsider whether to use the summit ticket.

If the Männlichen cable cars are out of season

Visit Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, and Mürren in one day. Use only the routes actually operating under your VIP Pass, and do not enter closed trails.

If First activities are sold out

Keep the gondola, Cliff Walk, and Bachalpsee walk. Do not change your Jungfraujoch day just for an activity.

Small tip

Do not confuse the VIP Pass with the Jungfrau Travel Pass at checkout. The Korean General Agent’s VIP Pass includes one round trip to Jungfraujoch, while Jungfrau Railways’ regular Jungfrau Travel Pass requires a separate connecting ticket for the summit section.

Final check before departure

  • Check whether the product you plan to buy is the Korean General Agent’s VIP Pass or the Jungfrau Travel Pass.
  • Check the ticket terms to confirm that the three days are counted consecutively from the VIP Pass’s first day of use.
  • Save your Jungfraujoch seat reservation and QR ticket for offline use.
  • Check the MeteoSwiss forecast and Jungfrau Railways’ live operating information for all three days.
  • Check summit visibility on the official Jungfrau webcams, and share only the coupon list page without a personal number.
  • Save the first departure and last descent times for Männlichen and First separately.

This is based on the VIP Pass offered by the Korean Jungfrau Railway distributor for 2026. The sales period is April 3–November 29, and Männlichen is scheduled to operate May 23–October 25. According to official Jungfrau information, a seat reservation for a specific time on the round trip between Eigergletscher or Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch is mandatory from May 1–October 31. The Korean distributor says its VIP Pass includes one round-trip reservation, but when issuing your pass, check that a reservation for your preferred date and round-trip times has actually been secured.
